Probus is a club for retired and semi-retired people interested in developing  friendships and participating in activities together

 

Probus Clubs provide a social outlet at club meetings and through activities.  They can provide entertainment, learning opportunities and a chance to develop new interests

 

Probus is non-political, non-religious and non-fundraising.  Clubs are located in almost every suburb - there are combined clubs, ladies clubs and mens clubs 

 

Meetings are monthly and activities are planned between meetings

 

Probus clubs are sponsored by a local Rotary club as part of its Community Service program.  Probus in Australia commenced in 1976.  The word Probus is taken from the words "professional" and "business" which represents the background of its members working life
